Run FIFE demos

Introduction

This article describes the different ways how to launch the engine demos that ship with FIFE on the different supported platforms.

Linux

Platform-dependent information: Linux.

The following passage contains information that is specific to Linux and other POSIX-based operating systems.

rio_de_hola

• Move into the <FIFE>/demos/rio_de_hola folder.
• Run:
  

  python run.py

   

Mac

Platform-dependent information: Mac.

The following passage contains information that is specific to PPC and Intel-x86-based Macintosh systems.

rio_de_hola

• Move into the <FIFE>/demos/rio_de_hola folder.
• Run:
  

  python run.py

   

Win32

Platform-dependent information: Win32.

The following passage contains information that is specific to Windows operating systems.

Requirements

• Python scripts should be automatically associated with the Python interpreter on your system after installing ActivePython 2.7. If you're not running ActivePython but a different Python distribution, you might need to associate .py files with the Python.exe that resides somewhere on your HDD manually.

rio_de_hola

• Move into the <FIFE>\demos\rio_de_hola folder.
• Start run.py.
